Georgine DeMarino M.D.
As a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University School
of Medicine and the University of Rochester Residency and Fellowship
Program, Dr. DeMarino is board certified in Diagnostic Radiology and has
specialty fellowship training in cross-sectional imaging (CT and MRI) and
mammography. In addition to serving as Chief of CT at the University of
Iowa, Chief of Ultrasound at the University of Pittsburgh, and Chief of CT
and Ultrasound at St. Clair Hospital, Dr. DeMarino has also obtained
additional training and extensive experience in musculoskeletal MRI. Prior
to accepting the position as Medical Director of West Mifflin Imaging, Dr.
DeMarino served as Radiologist at UPMC Chest Division and Magee Women’s
Hospital performing mammography and breast imaging.
Dr. DeMarino understands the importance of a patient’s
well-being. By utilizing the high-definition imaging technology at West
Mifflin Imaging, she is able to provide test results within hours, giving
the referring physician the necessary information to diagnose and treat
their patient.
The West Mifflin Imaging Team
West Mifflin Imaging is the first Outpatient
High-Definition Imaging Center in Western Pennsylvania. Our facility
features a 64-slice CT and a high-definition, high-field MRI which both are
capable of producing three-dimensional images. These high-definition images
allow our Radiologist to more accurately interpret abnormalities, which may
have otherwise been overlooked.
Our facility also specializes in Women’s Imaging. We
offer both screening, as well as diagnostic mammography, with Computer-Aided
Detection (CAD), breast ultrasound, bone density testing (DEXA), and breast
MRI. West Mifflin Imaging offers free parking, a pleasant atmosphere,
24-hour or less turnaround on reports and same-day scheduling. Additionally,
our Radiologists and Technologists are Board Certified and bring a superior
level of expertise to our facility.
